I simply love this brooder. It is very well thought out and made with quality materials. It is lightweight so I can move it independently if I need to. I love the built-in riser for a warming lamp and the pull-out tray with easy-to-clean 4M Corrugated Poly on the bottom. This brooder comes in a few different styles and sizes. Over 1800 of these units have been designed, built and sold over the last several years and have been distributed/sold and are being used in seven states....for small hobbyist operations to larger poultry farms and everything in between. Each is individually handcrafted using premium, all new non toxic materials and are designed and built right here in Appalachia in our little mountain holler....Shop Local....Supporting local businesses and farms is so important! This Three Foot Size/Model will accommodate 24-30 Newly Hatched Chicks. The Floor is 1/2" x 1/2" Galvanized Hardware Cloth which allows poop, wasted feed and spilled water to drop below into the Dropping Drawer so that your chicks are never standing/sleeping in wet poop and litter but are always warm, clean, dry, comfortable and stay healthy and thrive! The floor is supported with Re-Bar so there is no sagging. Dropping Drawer slides in and out for ease of cleaning and is made of 4M Corrugated Poly so it is essentially water proof and can be cleaned and sanitized easily. Line the drawer with newspaper and or pine shavings....and simply slide out empty, re-line and slide back in. Built-in riser across the back of the unit for adjusting height of Clamp on Fixture for warmth or use a Heat Plate....both optional. Top Cover included.
